I bought a Motorbike trailer.

I'm planning on some long trips this year and the trailer is the best way to get there, without having to hack there/back on the motorway on the bike.

Had the need to get out today despite the cold and random rain storms. Got a few miles in on the VFR. Headed home a bit late for school run so got on the motorway for a couple of junctions and the bike felt awful. Felt like it was tracking really badly and the front end was going really heavy. I put it down to the grooves you get on motorways affecting the steering and it was quite windy so difficult to judge. Once off the mototrway and on some curvy roads it got worse and worse. Convinced it had a major problem developing like head bearings I got home imagining a big job of some sort ahead of me. I was pleased to find my back tyre had been losing pressure and I'd been riding on 10psi ! Shouldn't have been pleased but I'd been meaning to change a dodgy valve out for weeks and it was a lot easier a job than anything else could have been. Now I know what it feels like to do 70mph on a soft tyre! Could have gone quite badly wrong! But it didn't and is hopefully fixed now without the need to pull the bike apart.

I'd recommend the 90 degree ones. The anodized ones that sit quite flat, not the long 90 degree ones that are just a regular valve curved as that's what I had problems with. The slightest touch of the valve and you could hear air escaping around the seal. I imagine at higher speeds centrefugal force was pushing on the valve and causing it to bend sideways and leak.
