Gearbox Whine
Hi there,
Just wondering anyone has a similar problem to mine. I have a bad whine in 5th gear now starting in 6th gear. Have checked oil flow to gear box and not impressed by the amount of oil delivered to the gearbox. Could this be a restricted jet. Any advice or solutions appreciated Thanks New Zealand SV650 Owner |

check your front sprocket mate my bike had a terrible whine and when i checked the front sprocket it was well worn, changed the front sprocket and problem was sorted.

Thanks for the reply, have renewed the Sprockets front and rear already. Looks like a strip down to find the problem. Bike is now out of warranty. The pressure the oil comes out at along the rail that feeds the gears is not real flash, anyway we are thinking some sort of obstruction in an oil way or Jet.
