Default New Member and a New SV650S Owner

Hello all,

Yesterday I went to my local dealer to purchase a new Ninja 650R but my friend and brother convinced me to go with SV650S instead. As a new SV owner I'll no doubt have questions and this site seems like the place to come to.

I purchased the bike without doing research on what people paid for them because I had the 650R in mind so here is my first question. The OTD price I paid for a 2006 SV650S was $7169.00, is this a good deal, bad deal, or a fair deal?

Also, can anyone point to to a nice web site where I can bey fairings?

There really wasn't much of an option as they only offer the bike in two colors this year...I ended up taking home a Red bike

Hello and welcome.

Ninja 650R? I thought Ninjas were 636cc or 1000cc ZX-R sportsbikes

What colour did you go for?

Edit: Answered my own Q by internet. USA have made the UK named ER-6f seem more sporty by calling it a Ninja.

With an exchange rate of 0.5398 that makes your bike £3870. Thats a good price there normally £4k over here. Welcome to the forum aswell mate. I have a SV650S k5 in red.
