Default Silverstone GP trackday 23rd May Advice

I am going to the above event run by Hottrax (anyone else going?!!?) .

I am going to take my SV, along with other preparation, I am putting some part worn Supercorsa pros on it tomorrow, what are the recommended track pressures please? I was going to start with 30.5F 29.5R.

Also I have a genuine Suzuki lowers kit on it at the mo that I have only just got (and got painted at great expense!), what is the ground clearance like on it?? I was thinking of taking it off as I don’t want to scrape it up unnecessarily.

Thanks in advance.

Hummm, as I suspected then, ground clearance wise it does look a bit on the bulbous side!!! I will indeed take it off (wouldn’t want to scratch up my nice new paintjob ).

Anyone got some recommended pressures?

Last trackday I ran F30 R30 on standard Diablos.

Take the hero blobs off, but still be abit careful as the end of the brake pedal touches down. I took the kink out of my brake pedal so it runs parrallel to the engine. Ideallly get some rear sets (if you have not allready)

Hiya, one ahead of you there ... already fitted rearsets (have standard ones for the road, but rearsets for trackday).

I have dropped the front forks 10mm through the yokes too. Has anyone lowered the standard clipons? They have a bolt that locates them on the underside of the top yoke, I presume they grip well enough on the stanchion to be able to drop them a bit? (i.e. I with rearsets fitted I want a more ‘@rse up’ attitude, so would like to drop the bars a bit).
