Default How do I attach the Suzuki badge?

Last year I scratched the nose of my bike while parking at work.
Consequently, the front panel of the fairing was resprayed but, as a
result, I lost the Suzuki badge (the small one under the
windscreen). I finally decided to do something about it and during
my last service asked the mechanic to attach a badge. Unfortunately,
Fowlers didn't have a badge of the right color in stock so they
promised to post it to me.

The badge has finally arrived and it looks like an ordinary sticker.
Should I just slap it on or is there something more complicated to
it?

If its just an ordinary sticker, then no problem. see if the protective paper is in two pieces or that it is in one piece and you can peel it off.

Stop

Not yet!

Get some hot soapy water and wet the area of your screen you want the sticker.

Now peel the backing paper off and slide it on slowly, ooer, mr's

Now slide it into position and squeeze the water out with a cloth or you can even use a credit card if you are rich :P

The soap allows you to ensure its in the right place before applying firm pressure to it.

It works on cars and helmets too

Not the one on the nose. You're thinking of the Suzuki (K3) & logo (K4) on the tank.

I stand corrected

I thought they were all under the laquer

I am also inclined to think that this particular one does not go
under the lacquer. In any case, the mechanic at Fowlers would have
probably told me that I shouldn't attempt to attach the sticker
myself if it had to go under the lacquer.
