Default chicken strips

what sort of eveness so to speak have, you got between your front and rear tyre chicken strips? my front wheel is completely gone, no chicken strips what so ever, but the rear is about a couple of mill, and i cant seem to shake the rest off. tried getting it down low the other day, changing rider positions, etc, thought i got it at one point, got home and no change. the bandit however is even wear, no chicken strips and grounded pegs , and i know someone with a sv1000 and he has the same thing but the other way round, none on the back, and a couple of mill on the front.

just seeing if anyone else has this or its just my set up. more weight over the front and all.

Huge ones at the back, virtually nil at the front. Tyres are Rennsports on an SV650s.

The difference between the front and rear will depend on how much you counter steer and how much you just lean I guess....everyone rides differently.

I got blasted by on the A38 on sunday by a blue 600rr, I had the girlfirend on the back so was doing 70....he must have been doing double.

Caught up off the a38 in some twisties and he had roughly 2 inches both sides on the rear.......legend.

I have 0mm on the rear and about 1 inch on the front. Will have to see what's left after a track day in two weeks..

Have 0.00mm rear and same on front!!

Be ware though the front tyre weard diferntly, its not the same as the rear as squaring off. The front steps.

As in if you run your hand along the tread front to rear is there a stepping between the front of the tread line and the back of it , if so its on its way out.

I think going out and trying to 'get rid' of chicken strips is an accident waiting to happen though to be fair.

Messing about with your riding position and forcing lean angles your potentialy not comfortable with or are indeed necessary for the scenario, just to remove a shiny bit of rubber on the edge of your tyre is crazy, ride how you are comfortable, eventually you will become more comfortable and they will go.

i treat the sv with a little reverence and respect, i dare you to come get your knee down on the island roads

you should see the rear on the KTM, the tread blocks are beginning to peel, backwards, from slamming the box into 1st and letting the slipper clutch figure it out. they also go right to the edge, at least on one side they do, on the other the chain has chewed a few mm off the tyre

im not changing my riding position, its confortable the way it is. thats why i think ive got nill on the front and some on the back. it just angers me that the bandit has none, the front of the sv has none, and the rear has some!!!

OCD i think!!
