Default Strange ask

Does anybody have a stereo system with a record deck that can transfer a recording from on old LP record to either CD or cassette tape?
With the Neil Diamond revival I have a 1972 double LP "Hot August Night" which was recorded live in concert at the Greek open air theatre in Los Angeles but no way of playing it so if anybody could help--PULEeese

OKAY--I know I'm sad but I do like N.D.

Can't help you directly Mac - sorry

But, is this the only LP that you want to transfer formats ?

If not, it might be worth looking for a USB Turntable that enables you to record them straight on to your computer.

The only reason I know they exist is 'cos I'm thinking of doing the same thing but from Cassette to CD.

A thought has just occurred to me - it might also be worth PM-ing Viney (if he doesn't see this thread and respond anyway), IIRC he is / used to be a DJ & is bound to have some turntables around !!

Hey DT

Sadly i have sold all my kit so cant help at all. I do have a 'box' that allows you to plug in a turntable to a USB port but no turntable. I now have over 3000 slabs of vinyl with nothing to play them on...at the moement. I am looking at getting a USB tuntable soonish.

My old Eagle system could transfer onto cassette but when I moved 5years ago it got flung in the skip and the new system doesn't even have a deck.

I have a turntable and cassette deck. I think it still works. The cd, tuner and turntable certainly do. Trouble is, if my memory serves correctly the head on the cassette that records knackered so I can't tape. I'll check it out over the weekend if a) I remember b) get time c) find a cassette....

Err, sad I know, the missus has always been an ND fan, so I might just have it on MP3, my systems can play mp3 cds if yours can, or even from a USB stick etc, I will give you a url to download from, or snail mail you a DVD/CD full of ND
