True, my P30 can be a pain if the batteries aren't spot on.

I'll keep the Pentax if I can fix the meter. Needle doesn't move from the middle so it's not reacting to the battery. I'll have a play with it at the weekend. Also got the SV electrics to fix too, probably the semi-legendary green connector.
The Chinon is quite nice now I've got it working.
Might try a silver oxide in the Pentax instead of the LR44

Put some pics of the Chinon here after the Canon pics.

It's pretty clean, all seals good, nice metal shutter, Judas window, DOF preview and multiple exposure button. Got a 28-70 Sigma and a 2x converter which will fit it and the Pentax too

I think they're a cheap and cheerful camera, nothing wrong with them. They made cameras for other brands.

That's surprisingly clean. Any joy on getting the K1000 to work?

Absolutely glistening compared to the Canon.
Haven't had chance to take the Pentax apart yet.
I've found a box of Cokin creative masks, which is basically a bunch of Perspex sheets and card backed plastic. Kind of a bit like this but some already cut out

Anybody??
