Shift work is the invention of the devil, 3 rotating shifts is the worst of all worlds as your body NEVER EVER gets used to the continual upheaval, it's like having continuous jet lag. I did morning / afternoon shifts but only had to do a week of nights every 6th week, but after nights it was halfway through the following week until I felt anywhere near normal. Retired now, but might throw a sickie tomorrow LOL

What is this sleep you speak of?

5 hours most nights. Can make it on 4 OK. 3 hours I can make it but will be tired all day.
6 hours is a nice long sleep but by 7 hours it feels like I've been in bed forever.
8 hours and I've slept too long and end up feeling almost the same as if I had slept 3 hours.
If I am in bed longer than 8 hours it's because I am in the hospital sedated.

Today we had Afghanistan playing. Despite the rain they were an enthusiast crowd, so friendly, noisy, and just loving being at Lord's.

Then tonight I had dinner with an Aussie mate who moved back home 8 years ago. When he was based in London we went out together all the time. I realised tonight, chatting away like we'd never been apart, just how much I've missed him. He goes home in a few days so it's back to Facebook messenger and WhatsApp.

Insured the bike for another year. Rang up and got renewal price down by £46 or 35%!!

The claim against me for minute damage done to the rear end of a car being settled. I get the feeling the driver didn't get an awful lot (15yr old car)

**Could also be a gripe, but I'm happy it's settled.
