Re: Gear shopping in the States
I believe that its spelled ponce actually.
Any you are just jealous of my superhero like abs of steel, well erm foam padding :P PM sent to you btw Ian, Vertigo Corsa's are £225 on infinitys website - $395 in the US - about £25 in it. The problem is that Sportsbike stuff is the minority market over there, so more markup/less bargains than the Harley crew stuff. But probably still worth it - would have to eb very unlucky for it to cost you more, more likely to just about break even David |

Re: Gear shopping in the States
Adding to soulkisses post, different test standard = different VAT liability.
A US lid would be subject to VAT at 17.5% whereas UK one wouldnt be, would be at 0%. |

Quote:
Not illegal to use on UK roads (or for that matter in Europe), cause otherwise hundreds of visitors could be stopped at ferryports etc by the police quite legally and told they couldn't ride in the UK till they buy a new lid. The Euro numbers etc mean the lid maker (Shoei, Arai etc) will deal with problems but are not obliged to even look at an import, bit like a lot of dealers were like with imported bikes |
