Help!
I have bought a tail tidy for my new K5 SV650, but I am having a problem removing the screw that holds the side panel to the subframe, I have tried WD40, rachet screwdrivers, hammer! etc but it will not budge. I am also having the same problem with the screw on the left side bar-end. Tips anyone, as I have paid for items that I cannot fit |

find yourself a piece of brass and a hammer then put the brass drift over the offending screw and give a sharp tap with the hammer this can loosen off corrosion on the threads be carefull not to impact too hard as the frame is a cast alloy.
or get a decent impact driver and the relevant sized hex bit for the end . when finished change the damn bolt if damaged or put copperease on the threads on reinstall |
