Valve Clearance Tight
I recently put my front cylinder together and one of the exhaust valves has no clearance, I put a 135 shim in because that is all I had at the moment and still no clearance.
I am wondering how fast do valves burn out due to no clearance, if I need to ride 10km / day over the next week until I can get some smaller shims will the valve burn or melt. thanks. |

Re: Valve Clearance Tight
No clearance means the valve wont shut properly so I think you risk burning it out quite quickly.Id fix it before using it.

**Yes it will....and probably lead to pre-ignition which will see off the piston too.
