That's an interesting read. My Transalp has a slipper clutch, the only thing I notice is that it clicks occasionally when I pull the lever. It makes you think the cable is about to break but apparently they all do it. I also have a ride by wire throttle but again it feels quite natural to me albeit that the return spring is much lighter than on my old VFR

The slipper clutch on my T100 also makes odd clicks sometimes as you pull in the lever so doubt it's anything to worry about.

The 8S is not my cup of Typhoo (although I'm glad you're enjoying yours) but I see the same engine is coming out in the new RE version of the 800 Strom, which short legged folk like me can hopefully get on to without a stepladder. The 850ish mm of the DE version, like the Transalp, is just too much if you only have a 30in inseam...

What I'd really like is that 800 motor in a sports tourer, a bit like the Tracer7. Maybe Honda will do something similar to replace the fugly NC750 with their newer motor. We'll see I guess.

That's a really nice looking bike. If I didn't already have a retro bike I'd certainly consider one.
