Fork seals and bush prices - WT*?
I'm currently stripping, powdercoating and rebuilding my SV's forks.
I got a quote of Robinson's Foundry for the dust and oil seals, and the fixed and sliding bushes, and then realised these prices were each, and not for a pair! I've found both seals for a lot less at Wemoto, but does anyone know of a place that supplies the bushes? Both bushes are in good nick (and still have Teflon over the copper), so is it neccesary to replace them? |

No, I don't lend tools.

Reassemble the fork loosely, without the seals, if there's any play they'll need renewal.
I can't imagine anybody but Suzuki would readily supply the bushes, if anyone else does at all.

I think racetech list a price them on their website (not sure like), no idea if those are them being middleman for suzuki bits though.

Yes, they do, but they're only available from Racetech in the States. Which is why I say they're not readily available.
PS. Beware cheapy seals.

Re: Fork seals and bush prices - WT*?
Thanks guys, I did find these people who charge about £18 a pair, but only stock outer bushes.
http://motorcycleproducts.co.uk/cata...4-p-57936.html My manual says only replace them if the teflon appears to be wearing. The lower, outer bushes were fine, but the upper inner looked worse for wear. I then realised the upper bushes have their lining on the inside, and this was fine too! Cheers Sid, I will check before I refill them anyway, and hope to see you at the Shire sometime soon! |

£50.30 for the whole set for the whole front end for the bushes.
Or £44.26 to Org members. |
