Top box recommendations?
I am after a top box for my 2001 SV. Preferably a removable one.
Doesnt need to be massive, as its only for my work stuff during the week. I use a rucksack at the moment, but its not quite big enough sometimes. Any recommendations? |

Re: Top boxes....
I have the standard suzuki one, which replaces the pillion seat, which works well for me.
Theres a thread going about in Bike Talk & Issues about topboxes! |

Re: Top box recommendations?
I had a givi one on the back of my curvy. I think it's 35L. It was great to not have anything on my back and just dump my kit in it when i got into work. On the other hand it did affect the handling (a bit ) if it was really full and the weather was windy and i did feel a lot less cool
i've still got it (minus rack) if you want a 2nd hand one though.. mary |

Re: Top box recommendations?
I just ordered a HG brand 46L one, I'll let you know how it is. Cheap at 30 notes and comes with a universal fitting plate.
They do a 26L one as well iirc. |

Re: Top box recommendations?
£30 IS cheap but Givis are very good, I bought one about 8 years ago and it's seen some serious use, still strong as ever although now has a homemade lock cos I lost the keys! DOH!

Re: Top box recommendations?
Ive got a Givi monokey E45 (I think). Can fit 2 full face helmets apparently, although it is a squeeze with my Caberg Konda flip up due to its size.
Looks blooming ugly, but it aint half practical. |

Re: Top box recommendations?
i've got an SV1000S with a givi system on it and the topbox is very good especially if you get one with the higher brake lights and wired in, a must for a commuter as real safety plus for winter riding and at eye height for idiot car drivers half asleep escaping the office to get home
