Go for something a few years old, that's already been worn in and has some wear & tear. That should keep the OCD of keeping it clean all the time at bay!
I think i last cleaned my Bike in February, and it's done about 6k miles since then

Ooooh, intitot (as we say in Yorkshire). I might actually take the thermal liner out of my jacket if this carries on.

Evening Mav and Craig. Hot over on your side of England Mav?

Can't believe you have the thermal liner in your jacket still Craig!

It's not a very thick liner, so it only gets TOO hot with liner in when the ambient temps are over 21 / 22 celsius - and we don't get too many consecutive days like that!

I have the same battle. On the one hand the weather forecast promising endless days of Summer (and it happened once, in 1976 - I was there!), on the other hand we have the North Sea that laughs at your feeble forecast - here, have some sea fret (mist rolling in off the sea) and how about a biting northerly wind, too.

I'll keep the liner in, thanks.

disclaimer - I have a mesh jacket too for freakishly hot days (ie over 72°F) from when I was in the US

I hope you all have your visors closed today, whatever the temperature. Its Flying Ant Day in South Bucks so may well be in other areas too.

My short ride to Marlow and back yesterday so so hot it was ridiculous. Trouble is, the coffee roastery I wanted to visit has no car parking nearby but bikes and cycles can stop right outside. I may just get myself an electric assist bicycle for these trips (and others of course) as the hills around here may be no problem for our Mav but us mere mortals have no chance.
