Default Top bloke - Mark from Scottoiler

Just had a Scottoiler fitted at MCS in Renfrew while my bike was in for a re-call on a rear brake component. Looked like a nice install at first glance, everything tucked away neatly etc. but the delivery needle was placed 20mm back from the sprocket, wavering just above the chain. I asked the mechanic about it at the time, "ere mate that's no right is it?", response in London geezer accent "oh yeh mate, that's how it's s'possed to be in-it".

Had a look at the Scottoiler websight when I got home, and as suspected the blokes full of crap. It's supposed to deliver oil to the sprocket which throws it on to the chain.

Long story short. Took it to Scottoiler in Milngavie, (Glasgow for those not in the know!), on Friday and a very nice bloke called Mark not only supplied the bracket that should have been fitted, he then fitted it, AND checked out the rest of the install for me for HEE-HAW!

That's what I call service! He also said to come back to Scottoiler with any future issues, as they like to know about any problems people are having with their products!

Result or what!?

I didn't realise Scottoiler were in Milngavie (pronounced Millguy, for those not in the know!) Is that their whole operations from there?

I may like to argue with your statement.
I have recently been dealing with Mike from www.SportTouring.co.uk and his customer service was second to none. If you're in the market for a GPS, give him a call (I intend to post my review/experiences of the Garmin 2820 at some point).
Not that I'm taking anything away from Scotoiler - it's good to hear of outstanding customer service.

Oh Yeh! Unfortunately they are the only Triumph dealer in the area, so if I want to keep my warranty I'll still have to use them for servicing.

I'm on a Sprint these days!

Scottoiler are brilliant... Mine had bits missing when i got the bike- I sent them an email asking where I could get the bits, one thing led to another and 2 days later I had a complete new delivery tube, a breather tube, complete mounting kit, and even a wee bottle of blue oil, stickers and instructions delivered first class. I'd never even given them a penny, since it came with the bike! First class

I was also really impressed with Oxford. Bit of an odd thing to say, since they're so awful in some ways- the pen-able locks fiasco, and continuing to sell croppable chains for £160 as if they're actually some sort of security device, and not just bike jewellery. But this was superb. My 125 had one of their immobilisers fitted. After a while, it started to act up... The led stopped flashing, then a while later the touchkey stopped working. It'd probably had the wiring damaged. I phoned Oxford customer services, who put me onto one of their actual engineers, who talked me through fitment and actually dropped off a big bag of parts at my work the next day- this was for a 5-year-old immobiliser! "Not really sure which key pad you need, so I've given you one of each- and a red and green LED to give you some choice. Plus, we've improved the wiring loom for the immobiliser so here's a new one"
