None here yet

Which means it'll arrive just in time for everybody going home. Which means all the numpties with the driving experience of a hamster in his wheel, leaving at once. Then slipping and sliding and panic braking and going into verges and ditches and the pratt with the little willy in front but who has a Merc but no brain or lights.

It's going to take hours to get home.

Not happy

Our local schools are now closing at lunchtime.

The thin layer of snow on my road has now started to provide entertainment. The first Beemer has made it up the hill as far as my house (they never get any further in these conditions) before revving furiously and ending up grinding his nearside rear on the curb. The slither back down only just missed a numpty in a compensating-for-something double cab pickup who tried taking a run up but just got sideways a few times. Not going to get much work done today at this rate.

4x4 brakes are just as bad as those on a two wheel drive. What a surprise!

Snowing in NW8. The boss just told me to go home whenever I like. He managed to fly in from India this morning just before they closed Heathrow again.

My 5 series was awful in the snow, the 7 series is much better - I think it is just so big and heavy that it's like driving a tank.

When I get home I shall have to shovel a pathway from the back door up the garden so Piggle cat can go and sit under the overhang of the summer house where it is dry without getting his paws too cold and wet. He doesn't like snow a lot and prefers it if I can clear it out of his way for him.

Two or three inches here in Wigan. I've not ventured out yet, but we need some shopping for tea.
