SV650 K3 Naked Mirrors
Hi,
I find my naked K3 mirrors pretty useless which is a shame cos I like the way they don't stick out too far when I'm manouvering in and out of the shed , but when out on the bike I have to shift sideways to see past my shoulder, just wondered if anyone else had the same problem and found a way of extending the existing mirrors or is it a case of buying new mirrors. These might help.
http://shop.ebay.co.uk/?_from=R40&_t...All-Categories Although they are going to make your mirrors stick out further. |

Re: SV650 K3 Naked Mirrors
what about getting a local machine shop to sort you out with a couple of longer bars threaded at both ends.

Re: SV650 K3 Naked Mirrors
Extenders are a good bet, though it reminds me of my DAS, my instructor told me off for not using my mirrors. "I did". "Well I didn't see you..." and he angled the mirrors out a bit so I had to lean over! You can also get mirrors for the bar ends, though they do stick out a bit!

Re: SV650 K3 Naked Mirrors
The longer bars threaded at each end would certainly look best if done right and I will certainly look into getting some done, but then again, since there's ready made options available on ebay I may quite easily end up with those

Re: SV650 K3 Naked Mirrors
I used to have barend mirrors on mine before I fitted the Buell fairing. They might have looked a bit silly, but they are fantastic bits of kit.

Re: SV650 K3 Naked Mirrors
You can modify them quite a bit by raking them forwards and then swivelling the mirror itself, try that. I find that they are fine for looking sideways behind me, but for looking straight behind me I just quickly tuck in my elbow.

Re: SV650 K3 Naked Mirrors
I got some from wemoto - links below are for the 10cm and 6cm versions:
http://www.wemoto.com/parts/picture/...421PARTMIRX10/ http://www.wemoto.com/parts/picture/HL-580421PARTMIRX6/ Can't remember which size I got but can check if you like. They make a big difference - I spend a lot less time looking at my elbows now...
