Re: The TV Mini Mehga thread.
John, that really really is uncool. I've been burgled before but not while anyone was in the house. It must have been extremely upsetting. Hope you get a good result on finding the person who commited the crime.

Re: The TV Mini Mehga thread.
Your insurance should pay out if they actually broke into the house to steal the keys? I rem, ember watching a program about this sort of crime - it's becoming very wide spread apparently as cars get harder and harder to steal in the conventional way - any news from old bill yet John?

Re: The TV Mini Mehga thread.
That's really quite scary. Didn't you hear them trying to break in? Dunno what I'd do in that situation. Great that you're moving. Not sure I could feel safe again after that had happened. Hope everything works out for you...

Re: The TV Mini Mehga thread.
So the police were round in 30 minutes, forensics within 2hrs. We were 1 of 4 houses last night that were burgled in this way. Seems like a gone in 60 seconds scenario. Bet the car is in a shipping container on its way to Africa or something.
Locked myself in the house tonight as they have keys to the property. Would change the locks but I am only living here for 3 days so what is the point. It is all a bit of an inconvienience, but the main thing is that mentally it feels horrid knowing someone has come into the property. Good thing we are off in 3 days, will mean a good fresh start somewhere new. Apparently this is the most common type of car theft now. Let that be a lesson to you all. Secure everything up every night.

Re: The TV Mini Mehga thread.
Apparently it is better to let them get the keys rather than hide them in the bedroom or similar. The sort of people who do this **** will not think twice about smackin you about to get what they want. c&&ts.

Re: The TV Mini Mehga thread.
I would agree Phil. Don't leave the keys in view from outside (or through the letterbox) to tempt them. But once their inside - let 'em 'ave it.
Need to go back to keeping cars in garages. |

Re: The TV Mini Mehga thread.
Garages are where bikes are kept.
Cars are disposable. TTs are for hairdressers. etc.
