I have an inch and a half raise and that seems fine. If you raise it too much, it makes the bike very very twitchy at the front.

Dont forget, shorter dogbones, the higher the bike, longer dog bones equals a lower bike

I'm doing a how to right now on replacing the shock and raising the rear. I raised mine 3 inches! Dogbones are 7/8" shorter or about 22mm. Let me know and I can send you pics

Did you mount your gixxer shock yet? If so any clearance problems with the shorter links?

Yeah, gotta watch that posted limit. My friend just came off a 6 month suspension (265km/h in a 60km/h zone on an R1 The cop knocked it down considerably, cause 2x the limit here is automatic jail time )
