It's dual carriageway with no other signs saying otherwise, so I'm going for 70. I hate everything from London to Tolworth on that road - cameras all the way and in sneaky places.

It's a dual carriageway and it's NSL - it's 70mph. How can that be a discussion at all?

I'm pretty sure it's 70 all the way from the A3(M) up to Tolworth except for the A272 roundabout which is 40mph , I think, and the 50mph section from the end of the Hogs Back to passed the Wooden Bridge.

Says who and what is their reasoning? And "I'm right and you're wrong" doesn't count.

Depends what vehicle you're in, cars & motorcyces NSL is 70mph, Vans 60mph, Cars & Vans towing 50mph, lorries 56mph. Remember if it states a different speed i.e 60mph, then it's 60 all round.
On a dual carriageway with a solid barrier between both sides of the road NSL applies unless otherwise stated.

Sorry, don't mean to be picky but if by lorry you mean something over 7.5 tons then it's 50 on a dual carriageway, not 56mph, and they can still only do 50 even if the road is restricted to 60. If I can be even more pedantic then dual carriageways don't need a solid "barrier", just a division between the carriageways, a grass verge for instance would suffice.

yes, i meant something like a 40T 40ft truck and trailer. i only said 56mph due to where there speed limiters are usually set. Thats what i was trying to imply, something that is a 'solid' marking between either side of the road-not just a white line for example.

as above it depends on what you're driving /riding, and 56 is not a speed limit for any vehicle.
