Default Scottish Rideout

Seems like a lot of folk were keen on coming up and sampling our superior tarmac, beer and sheep...

But we're approaching the rainy season, so if we're going to do it this year it'll need to be pretty soon. There's probably only the weekends of the 12th and 19th of August that work well for this- I'm assuming people will want to leave the bank holiday weekend open and September's a little late in the year for anything like reliable weather... but the other dates are just a month away. So, if we're going to do it this year we'd better get our fingers out

So- just to gauge interest so I know whether I have to pull said finger (it took ages to get it in in the first place, I don't want to pull it out for no good reason) here's a poll to get us started.

We've got a run that Quedos is organising for the 13th which of course you'd all be welcome at, but I'm full of AR love and it'd be great to do something a bit bigger. The Irish and Essex Invasion last year with its ride up Glencoe was brilliant, and the more the merrier.

Interested, but all the dates you have proposed are awkward. I'll wait 'til you have something firmer and then decide who's going to be annoyed with me.

I can only do the first week in August if this was an option (5/6). Later is the pitts for me.

I've never been to Scotland - was planning to last year but it kinda fell through with a leg in plaster!

Money will be tight, so the cheapest option regarding crash space/camping/B&B - but if I can get petrol in the tank I'd love to sample those wonderful mountains. I voted for either date by the way.

This is of course assuming that I return from the Nurburgring without any bodyparts attempting to vacate the premises.
Only 8 days, 2 hours and 26 minutes to go.

I would very much love to do this. However August is particulary difficult for myself and Liz and also we are skint !!!

If you were organising for next year then we would be definatly in.

Given the... less than overwhelming response I think next year makes more sense. But we'll do it right. Better than rushing it I think. You're all welcome up here any time of course!
