Default Its coming home..

And about time to. Formula 1 graces our screens uninterrupted again. Will we be graced by throbbing bass tunes of Fleetwood Mac's The Chain. I hope so.

Nice one BBC.

I didn't think ITV did a bad job to be honest but it will be nice to lose the ads and get back to the good ol' days of continuous coverage.

Wonder who the presenters will be?

I hope they keep Martin Brundle. I think he does a top job. But they can ditch James Allen he really is an irritating, un-educated about F1, annoying pratt.

It almost makes paying for the TV licence worth while.

I wonder how much it cost them

Yeah but I used to find Martin Brundle annoying, he would always talk about himself and " When I was in F1 ". He had all the diplomacy skills of a skunk and often talked completed dribble in the start up walk.

Asked daft questions to famous people who clearly had no idea about F1, they just got free tickets.

Murray Walker hadn't a clue, but made it up with his passion.

He lives in Fordingbridge if you didn't know already.

We've been busy discussing this on the NewsGroups at work & have come up with the following :-

(1) The Chain MUST be used as the theme music

(2) James Allen must be dispensed with (I guess it's just a matter of NOT hiring him to start with)

(3) Murray Walker needs to be persuaded / bribed / dragged kicking & screaming out of retirement & used in some capacity (prob not as main commentator though)

(4) Martin Brundle should be hired as we can 'live with him' as main commentator

(5) That we are undecided about Mark Blundell & Louise Goodman (me personally would ditch the former but keep the latter)

Ditch them both and have Suzy Perry instead..er..in a manner of speaking, sooo glad its coming back to the Beeb, hate that adverts spoiling it, and the titles take so bloody long too. Bring back Murray, keep Brundle, and have Clarkson, Hammond and May doing the pitlane commentary!, Oh and Suzy just to look good.

Ditto to all the above.

And another exciting thing about this deal - BBC HD anyone? I watched some of the 6 Nations matches in HD and IMO sporting events really benefit from it. Come on Auntie Beeb, F1 in HD!!
