Talking New to Biking

Hi, Have just passed my direct access and bought an 05 SV650s in red (just love it) and have noticed a switch on the bikini fairing on the left (near side). now I know i'm gonna sound daft but hey ho......What's it for??? lol its a 3 position switch with Hi Off and Low on it! Any help please!

No seriously, not a clue. I've never noticed that on a pointy before. Some sort of lighting modification maybe?

Looks like a fog light switch.

Previous owner could have installed lower mounted 'bullet' lights

I would go with that. And no, its not a silly question. We have asked far sillier questions. Like"my bike isn't starting, how do I ... oh, I found the keys!"

Hi, only had the bike couple of days so still getting used to all the shananagins that goes with it! Looks like i need a new battery but for what I paid for the bike i dont mind footing the bill for that! lol Thanks for all the ideas! Will look into it!

Just traced the wire as suggested......looks like heated grips! there is a flat wire going to both sides and disappearing under the grips! I guess a wire going to the grips is not standard???

Worth checking if it is directly connected to battery or via ignition as it may be the cause of your battery schenanigens!
