Remembering that there's a block users posts button on the forum.
They will annoy me no longer.

That could be a useful feature on the cycling thread, i might apply it to my PMs, to stop annoying people asking incessant questions about cycling

You know who you are

I find the superfluous paperwork in UK very disturbing. Most of it is 'tick-box' and is supposed to be a true record of what is happening in the company and improve its efficiency and quality, and is counterproductive in both areas. Most of it comes into 'paying lip service' and 'covering our arzes' categories. The last company I worked for as a project engineer (retired now - whew what an escape) was the best paid but least satisfying job I ever had, they had enough paperwork in their system to keep the civil servants of a small country fully employed, and very little of it was to do with actual engineering - and engineers hate paperwork that is not relevant to engineering.

Water-based wood preservative. I have just finished building myself a new bird table (the old one blew over and broke when the post rotted through), sanded everything, marked all the adjoining pieces and diassembled it all ready for treating. I'd even laid out the parts on the garage floor to make sure they could dry evenly. Off to the shed. Fished out a suitable brush, stir stick and the tub of Cuprinol Duck's Back and... yup, it's semi frozen. It was like stirring a Slush Puppy. The tub is now in the house beside a radiator and a bit of luck I can try again later on.

A while back Mr LPH decided he knew better than the parking sensors, in a car park, resulting in a big scrape to the front wing and bumper. We were quoted £1500 from the first company. Then found a local chap, he did a fantastic repair and re spray, he also fixed all the little dents where people have opened their car doors onto our car, sorted out the stone chips on the bonnet, even washed the car. The cost? £195.

Genuinely nice man to deal with too.

I have been rummaging in the fridge and cupboards. A massive cauliflower from the farm shop that needed eating, an onion, a lonely potato, some stock, milk, nutmeg and all the end bits of cheese from the fridge and I've a big portion of cauliflower cheese soup for my lunches at work this week.

A couple of oranges, odds and ends of chocolate, some marmalade and some eggs that needed using up and my colleagues get chocolate orange cupcakes at work tomorrow.

I also found some coconut and glace cherries in the larder so they get iced cherry coconut cupcakes as well.

There's no such thing as food waste, only a lack of ideas.
