Ace Cadwell Park Day
Well you all may not know but I bought an SV from a member of the org soley as a track bike back in May I think.
I've spent from then until now rebuilding, cleaning, replacing odds and sods and just making sure it is just so before I hurtle around a track. And today was the day Cadwell Park, flipping glorious sunshine , bloody fantastic, the bike had been checked and double checked and apart from a foot peg needing tightening, ran as sweat as a nut. A couple less clicks on the preload on the front forks and the tyre temp was equal after a hard session (good sign of suspension working well). Its taken a load of beer and swear words to complete but I must say a few words of thanks : Zoran - ace wiring loom diagram Charlie13 - design and manufacture of bespoke bits I've needed Delkevic - ace aftermarket rads Acewell clocks - very good service Hills breakers, again great service EBC EPFA brakes - bloody great pads EssexDave - great source of spares ! And many other forum members for the stupid newb questions they have been kind enough to answer, and the parts they have haggled a deal with me for so i could afford it all. SELL YOUR ROAD BIKE BUY A TRACK BIKE ITS AMAZING, THIS IS MY FIFTH TRACK DAY ON A SV650 AND THEY ARE THE DOGS !! IDIOT PROOF POWER DELIVERY AND HANDLE GREAT FOR A BUDGET BIKE. Right I'm now going to get ****ed, as I read that you should be dry for a week in FB mag as it improves you day (and I have been) !! Aye up Laurie is that where you went wrong !! LOL Regards All Phil |

Hey nice one Phil, glad you had a great day and without mishap.
Glad the bike stayed clean and you don't have spend another year cleaning it. Lets see if we can drag you down South a bit and get you on some full width easier circuits for me! Dry for a week? Don't be ridiculous |

Re: Ace Cadwell Park Day
hahah Gixxer will stay creased until the winter sets in and I'll make her better then.
Next outing I think is Donington - No Limits on the 20th Sept followed by a TBE event at Silverstone while you're with Talan at Cadwell on the 21st (I think). Hey cancel the 13th come to Donny instead!!! |
