Single bike on double bike trailer - ok?
I'm off to Cadwell on Saturday and am borrowing a bike trailer to take the SV on. It is for two bikes, will it be ok with just one on, i.e not too lopsided?
Any tips greatfully received. Cheers, Tim |

If its a trailer specifically made for it (not a home conversion) then it will be fine. Many dealers use them to make deliveries/collections.

Cheers,
think it is a bike specific trailer so sounds ok. |

You could put something heavy on the other side to balance it and stop the trailer bouncing like a jack-in-the box. Assuming you can safely secure it, that is.

Some 2-bike trailers have 3 runners, one in the centre and one each side to cater for the possibilities.

Maybe the runners are adjustable? (remove one, and reposition the other - would make sense to me)

Thanks for the tips, although I've got no jack in a box, may look at putting a spare car wheel or something on the other side to provide a bit of weight.

Go carefull round the corners, saw a bloke lose his 2 bike trailer with a 'Blade as he came off a roundabout. Trailer tipped over and came off his tow bar.

Not sure if they have Jack-in-the box-s in Belgium, as I'm back in the UK now.
I thought it could be some special type of heavy jack, but re-reading your post I'm the one who seems to be a bit special! |
