sv650 vs v-strom
is there an article out there comparing the two?.. i know they have the same engine..but how do they differ?..i see the sv650 is marketed as a sports bike..and the vstrom is marketed as dual purpose....... would a v-strom be a good beginner bike also ?
thanks again people from U.K. and the world! |

depends what use you have for it really, if your riding canyon twisties then either bike would be good. if your covering huge distances at 55mph then the seat on the v strom would suit you better. if your gonna be mainly on good surface twisties and cover moderate distances 200 miles ish then the SV or Svs would suit. and then there is the pose value the vstrom is ugly compared to the SV or SVS but probably a more practical riding position for the states. and if you do any fire track riding or off tarmac (not off road if you get my drift) then the v strom would be better. |

Re: sv650 vs v-strom
im thinking about getting the vstrom also.. i havent seen any in person
i just know the 2007 red sv650 non s version is sexy as hell.. but i dont think it would be comfortable to ride 500 miles but i wonder if the v-strom would be comfortable at 500 miles.. im still undecided.. i wanna take a long trip about 500 miles to my girlfriends house not sure if i would do it on a sv650s tho |

Re: sv650 vs v-strom
v-strom is HUGE compared to the SV. I can comfortably get both feet on the ground with my SV, I struggled with the V-Strom.
