It's been a while.....
.......since we had a recommend me thread, so here it goes.
I need a decent photo printer for a Christmas present, I don't mind if it's an A4 or one of the compact ones. I can spend up to about £150 on it and I'm not really bothered whether it's any good as a normal printer as the person I'm buying for already has a printer. So, what would you peeps buy?

Re: It's been a while.....
According to 'What digital camera' mag the Epson picture mate comes in at approx £100 and is a compact printer or if you fancy an A4 size they recommend the Canon ip 5300 at about £95 both of these got 91% in recent tests, also I have heard the Epson stylus photo R340 is pretty decent and thats about £120 i think, check this out though www.pricerunner.co.uk or www.dpreview.com

Re: It's been a while.....
My advice - dont.
You will get cheaper/better by heading down to your local photo shop with a disk/memory card. There was a study that showed that photo printers were about twice the cost of going to a real photo place.

Re: It's been a while.....
I know that but it's just for printing pictures quickly.
My mates just had a boy and he doesn't get a lot of time to trundle off to the photo printers so he can do some on this, then every now and then he can take a disc with the rest down to the photo printers.
