its sort of nowt to do wheel hub/bearing sizes, its to do with the inner knuckle sizes which dictates the axle size. both are 169mm so if you use srad yokes with 1000 K1-2 forks the yokes increase the inside size by 7mm which is 3.5mm either side but due to the bearing outside size of the srad wheel being 7mm larger than the K by this cancels the difference out for spacing. but the original +7mm is still there on the inside knuckle distance apart. so this makes the axle 7mm too short on the threads. will the axle/nut threads have enough to grip... dont know.. it would have to be a suck it and see.

Didn't you guys talk about this a while ago and tried fitting the srad wheel in GSXR 1000 k1/k2 forks

I'm sure the axles are different they use the same nut but the SRAD must be longer.

I know the difference about the bolt/hex nut

They have different part numbers

Do either of you have a SRAD axle to measure as I have a GSXR 1000 one sitting next to me

Sorry Bibio didn't see this phone doesn't load like the website.

So it doesn't really matter about the axle it's more the spacing each side of the wheel

sort of, its the spacing between the inside of the knuckles at the axle has now grown by 7mm so axle is now too short, maybe..

the srad stuff is 7mm wider then the k stuff but the inside knuckle size is same on both and this is why they both share the same axle, you can see this with the early 600/750/1000 from K0-k1 as some use the srad axle and some use the newer K axle (typical suzuki parts bin raiding).

suzuki parts numbers mean nothing as i have found out on numerous occasions.

Think about where the outside of the axle ends up... the bit where you tighten it up. That's where the difference will be.
