Just been to have blood extracted at the local hospital. It is always an hour wait first thing in the morning, so left it till 11:30 when they should have all the blood suckers returned from the wards and can man the clinic.

DOH!!!! FFS Tim, you go first thing in the morning because it is supposed to be fasting. So now have to try on Tuesday.

Obstructive ex's that try and make life difficult but are really just making their child miss out because of their selfishness

At the local hospital. Finally getting my carpal tunnel sorted. Booked in nice and early. Thinking 30 mins of cutting and stitching. And go home. Christ the place is rammed. I will be lucky to get out before tea time.

Still mustn't grumble
Only taken 20 months since I first went to the GP complaining of pain. Unable to grip a throttle/brake lever. So another month I might be able to ride again.

If you can't type with your left, it might be a while before we get any more updates.

Best of luck with the op.

Back home. Cut and stitched. Left handed typing is impossible.

Car - bust gearbox.

Car is 8 years old and worth about £2k (when it works)

That's £2k down the drain!

dont think of it as loosing money but what mileage it has given in the time you have owned it.

i must be lucky as i have never blown an engine or bust a gearbox on any vehicle i have had.

Is it a known fault? Is it highly unusual for a car of that age and model to suffer such a catastrophic failure?

If yes to either, go back to the manufacturer. I got BMW to pay 60% of the cost of labour and parts on a new gear box on quite an old 5 Series after I argued that it should not have happened on a car of that age, even with above average mileage.
