Default SV Lockdown Freshen Up

This lockdown situation gave me the chance to give the sv a good going over. Its just been ridden for a while and apart from the usual maintenance to keep things running I've done very little with it. It just looked a bit tired and sorry for itself!

So... Both wheels have been freshly painted, as have the frame + swingarm, tail undertray and various other small components and brackets. I've extended the side stand and repainted too. I have also made + fitted a new number plate mount and new indicators to both front and rear. The exhaust has also been refurbished with any rusted brackets removed and new sections welded in place, plus new exhaust studs/bolts/clamps fitted. Also a couple new vacuum lines fitted as well as an inline fuel tap to allow removing the tank without having to drain the fuel first. The battery has been replaced for a fresh Motobatt too.

Its come up nice and its renewed my love for it once again

Very tidy!
Real nice bike that.

The back end's pretty slick...though looks a bit of a ball crusher - is it comfy?

Thanks

Yeah very comfy. What you can’t see is that the foam beneath the seat covering has been shaved flat, so doesn’t push you into the tank at all.

Lovely job. Is the Number plate legal?

They are over-keen around here

Great looking bike. Inspired me to go and read your build thread. What's become of the fairing, and plans for the alternate shock arrangement?

It’s 7 x 5. Never had an issue mate. I think maybe because it looks fairly in proportion to the tail. Doesn’t look too out of place. And it’s not positioned in any way that makes it hard to read like some I’ve seen out there!

Thanks. The fairing still exists but I came to prefer it without. And the alt shock arrangement got benched when I acquired a new bike project!

Looking very good there. The curvy makes such a lovely caff racer.

That's quite pretty - for a curvy.
