Have you also checked Wemoto, or the local bearings shop for prices? Usually with the dimensions they can provide something.

Wemoto list one but it's different dimensions.

Check the Suzuki Vintage bike parts list - usually they are discounted prices, and the seal maybe used in one of the previous models

You could drain the oil into a clean container and reuse or if you're brave, lean it against something. (I did this once with a CB175 and it fell on me, so I'm a bit cautious).

You can specify an SKF seal which, in theory, should be guaranteed quality for £9.74 + VAT. (double lip)
https://simplybearings.co.uk/shop/Se...ex.html?page=1 (you'll have to plug your numbers in).

If you go direct to Fowlers page, the seal is listed at £43.04.
https://www.fowlersparts.co.uk/parts...7/transmission

If you google the Suzuki part number 09283-42017-000, the size is shown as a 42x62x7.
I'd buy an SKF seal.

thanks Ste.. the bearing is a 5mm sapphire cup sitting on top of a shaft with a tungsten ball encapsulated into the spindle. the bearing is what you would call inverted.

there are others who have tried other places but nobody is willing to work on them and as such truepoint are the only people in the world as far as i know who service them. people sent them to truepoint from all over the world as they are supposed to be specialists.

its not so much getting a hold of the sapphire cup its getting the encapsulated bearing thats the problem.

they have said to send it back and they will rectify it and i will but i have lost all faith in these people.

if the bearing goes missing in the post i'm feked as you cant buy them and nobody will make new ones including truepoint. i was already paranoid sending it away in the first place and TBT the bearing was not in bad shape but i wanted it perfect and the reason i sent it away to a company that supposedly specialises in these things.

the turntable is around 35 years old and i want to keep it going.

I can't find the details, but ask these guys https://amlinstruments.co.uk/about/ it looks like a smaller firm and you never know, the parts may be common. I can't see too many people making sapphire bearings.

Three months and still no V5 for the GSXR.
Can't contact DVLA.
Phone line says they can't take calls and to go online. Online takes you to an email form, which emails you the phone number.
Live chat takes you to a page that says that service is closed at the moment.
Going around in circles!

Does anyone know how to contact the DVLA other than by post which I'm sure will get ignored?

I've heard they are majorly back up with postal requests. Online stuff is automated so that is your only chance of getting anything done. Too late for you now though

Post was the only option as it was a V62 to apply for a replacement V5 after prevoious owner messed up and threw the wrong stuff away.
Backed up for 3 months though!? I can kind of understand but very frustrated by the total lack of any way to contact them now. Website enquiries "closed". A phone line that hangs up on you after saying they can't take calls. An email autoreply that directs you to phone them... which gives a recorded message that tells you to use the website, which is closed.. etc etc...
