just to let you know I bought this set
http://www.extremeracing.co.uk/offer...o/prod_14.html use this code to get free delivery FRE-OYC8R-87891
i know its not really cold yet but i think its more than i expected complete with the neck warmer (which he gave me free) you'll be like toast whatever the weather
I bought on line and needed to change to a larger size so rang him up and went to his place and got them changed there and then
apparently he designed all this gear himself (hes a keen biker) and has been in production for a few years just trading on the INTERNET so no extra costs of distributes etc

I use the Cold Killers stuff which is good but TBH just get a heated jacket, trust me on this, once you get heated stuff you'll wonder how you ever coped before. Makes the difference between preventing heat loss and actually being toasty.

Aye, doing a fair distance like 2-300 miles in proper cold no matter how many layers you have the heat does seep out of you slowly.

The halvarssons kit I have is excellent, anybody would think it gets cold in scandinavia or something with how it is built lol.

Best warming kit I have though is back protector, anything round the kidneys/gut area is good.

I can highly recommend Janus Merino base layers. Bought mine from the Norwegian store n Keswick. Two years on and it's still like new and keeps me toasty warm.

I use Rukka kit and it keeps me warm , but , endurance riding will lose you heat . I got a kidney belt for about £7 from Aldi of all places and that is the cherry on the cake . I have found that after all these years , it`s worth keeping the kidneys warm and stops the back from aching when it tightens up from the cold .

Well , considering they are made of Merino , then that`s about the going rate for them James . I have Helly Hansen "Lifa" thermals , have worn them for years and you are right , they don`t half get a pong on them and I am not known for being a "Smelly" person . They cost about the same as your ones as well so if I had the chance to buy again then I would go for something like yours . The other thing with Merino is that if it does get wet , it still stays warm from what I am lead to believe .
