Yup, restrictions can be done.
The SV does quite well restricted to 33hp, as alot of power is quite low down in the rev range.
Will probably cost about £100 for the replacement ECU on the new bikes, not sure on the cost for the older models.

basically you can restrict any bike - easily the sv.
Maybe try and work a restriction kit into the deal but don't be too surprised if the dealer doesn't offer it.
Maybe ask for money off to compensate.

Or....... Just say to hell with it and go 70bhp!!! Doubt you'll be caught.
Sorry; devil in me there!

Certainly can be restricted, it costs £65 and try as I might, the dealer wouldn't waive this charge.

I'm sure the restrictor itself is free, but the paperwork etc costs money!

Any way i pick my 33bhp SV650s up on 1st March !!!

vrrrooooooooooooooooooommm (ish)

Hello,

mine is restricted and this was put into the deal price of the bike, along with the full power box. All it basically is a new ecu box that sits along side the battery under the front seat. If you do get the bike restricted make sure they give you the full power box aslegally its part of the bike you've just bought.

Enjoy your bike!!
