Braided Hoses... Anything else fit?
Thinking of upgrading to braided hoses as the standard OEM ones are just crap and poor braking performance. And seeing that Suzuki only puts a 2 year life span on them is beyond me.
Have heard that GSXR & Bandit hoses are more or less the same size/lengh and will fit with no problems. Has anyone done this yet and if so what ones are you using? |

Why not just buy ones that fit the SV.
Find HEL, buy form them direct and get a discount if you mention this site |

You can get Goodridge ones with zinc plated fittings of the bay for £44 delivered.
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Goodridge-Brai...QQcmdZViewItem I fitted a pair a couple of weeks ago with no issues. |

I wouldn't get the zinc, they corrode, go stainless and don't be so cheap.
HEL do coloured stainless end now, very nice looking and should keep their finish when all others look like salty poo. |

Re: Braided Hoses... Anything else fit?
In all honesty you aint gonna save that much as the pipes are going to be the same, near as damn it, so prices about the same. Just get a 2 line kit to save that extra penny or 3.
As for your original statment, i disagree. I have braided lines and sintered pads on my SV, the girlfriends still has std lines, with sintered pads. Theres slightly more 'feel' in the old system, but both systems are in top condion. The braking system when in good order, using either braided lines or std lines, is more than adequate for the bike. |

Thanks for the reply Viney.
Its just that my standard lines seem to be very poor, have tried most things but to no avail. |

Re: Braided Hoses... Anything else fit?
Funnily enough I've just come in from fitting hornet calipers (nissin twin pots) and braided lines to the CB, you just don't realise how bad the perished rubber hoses are until you change them, probably the best the CB's ever had.
Cheers Mark.
