Default another curvy wont start thread!

Hey,

whats happened is i started my bike fine, rode a couple of hundred yards down the road bike dies.

started it again rode another few yards down the road bike died.

this time it wont start for love nor money and when it did start it idled at 1000 revs.

as soon as you rev the bike it died.

I then charged the battery, still wont start,

changed the plugs, checked the spark all good, still wont start.

emptied all the petrol out and put fresh top quality fuel in, still wont start,

i put a bit of fresh fuel into the top of the carbs, still wont start,

tried easy start, still wont start,

checked engine timing, still wont start,

Im getting a bit annoyed now and ready to kick the bike off its stand in anger so any ideas would be greatly appreciated!,

How about the airbox and all the breather hoses and tubing. Is everything seated properly and all the hoses still connected? Is the airfilter blocked or being obstructed? The imfamous choke plungers all ok?Float bowls full of water?
The fact that it did start but ran at a slow idle suggests its not one of the cutout switches, rather a fuel issue.

When you drained the petrol did you drain the carb float bowls as well?If its water in the fuel it collects in the bowls and causes all sorts of problems. Also worth another look at the plugs to see if they are fouled or wet after all the starting attempts.

right i've managed to get it started but its running like a bag of crap, it's backfiring although it's settling down a bit now. It's been running for around ten mins or so.

the idle is really bad tho, if i turn the choke off it want's to stall because it's not even reaching 1000 revs by itself.
