THe Renthal Comfort Kit from 998cc. com
I have finally managed to get round to fitting my renthal comfort kit coversion to my 2010 pointy. It has taken me the best part of 8 hours and has been bloody hard work. I would honestly think very carefully about doing this yourself if you only have very basic mechanical knowledge because there is a lot involved and no instructions. However if you get hold of Matt, he will send them to you. I opted for the proper way and did them without.
I also drilled the bars for the switch gear rather than snap the little tabs off. I also drilled and tapped the bar to allow the fitting of the OEM mater cylinder reservoir. Also in answer to the post yesterday, the OEM suzuki throttle cables are not long enough to use with this kit. They prevent full lock. So you defo need the ones that come with the kit. The main areas of time consumption were: 1. Fitting the throttle cables 2. Reassembling the air box. The throttle body rubbers are a mare. 3. Routing the HEL brake lines as they just seemed too long, 4. Spent and hour bleeding the air out of the front brakes. Conclusion. WOW the bike has been transformed and feels so comfy to ride. I can't believe I waited to do this. MY back and wrist pain had got so bad riding, I was actually avoiding using the bike and cycling to work. NOT ANYMORE! This really is the dogs bollox! I am so happy with it. I was about to get rid of the bike if this hadn't worked, however it will be with me for a long time now. Really Really impressed. The bars are Renthal "Road Bike" part number 758-01-BK. They were part of the kit.

Re: THe Renthal Comfort Kit from 998cc. com
do you have to change the bars on a curvy or can you just fit the kit with the risers on to the original bars.
