Re: autocom
Autocom doing half price deals at the Bike Show.
Word of warning if you ever get bike 2 bike - your co rider will get quite annoyed if you sing along to your music. My husband has banned me from having Kiss by Prince on - all my out of tune squeaky singing sets off the Vox system and he gets it coming through his headset which he says is like some sort of torture. |

Re: autocom
I bought bike 2 bike used off ebay. You need 2 x the basic box, plus 2 x ear pieces and microphones, 2 x radios. We got the basic radios with our kit, they are ok over short distances but you soon lose each other. Invest in the more expensive ones if you can. And don't use rechargable batteries as they are rubbish for this - get Duracell Procells or similar.
Then for music I plug my Nokia in using the 2.5mm lead that came with the kit, but I guess ipod might use a different lead and MP3 tend to be 3.5mm. Autocom seem to sell all the elements separately. |

Re: autocom
I've got the set I took of my BMW to upgrade to bike to bike. Been sat in a box for a couple of months. Has sat nav and music leads.
Give me a shout. J |

Just use your MP3 player (which you would have to plug into the Autocom anyway) Autocom is primarily a comms system. Seems like using a sledgehammer to crack a nut.

Re: autocom
the autocom helmet speakers i've used are rubbish for music - they're designed for clear speech reproduction, all trebles and not much else.
Just use an mp3 player with some noise isolating headphones
