Ha ha! Yeah I had to do that on my hotgrips too.

Mine arrived recently - over the moon with it, what a great product.

Installed mine just behind the battery between the starter solenoid and whatever that thing is on the right hand side. The space could have been made for it. I decided to take the live feed from the solenoid, leaving only one lead on the positive of the battery. Only thing to tidy up is the blue triggering wire, for my install I don't need it that long so may shorten it, and put some sleeving over it while I'm at it as the routing looks a bit vulnerable. Optimate cable just visible velcroed to the rail on the left of the photo (right of the bike). In the picture it looks as if the solenoid's not fully home, need to check that.
