Default No fuel gauge needed?

Who wouldn't want one of these?

If it's blown glass, it's an accident waiting to happen.
If it's acrylic rated to hold fuel, that's actually a pretty good idea. No rust, can see the level at all times, and you can see if there's any crap in your fuel.

Was it acerbis used to make those translucent ones for the DR traillies? I quite like the idea!

Weirdly, I was thinking about this the other day; Bike with a sexy frame and air cooled engine (no idea what) clear panels and tank, tastefully lit with LED's to highlight polished faces on engine fins.

If only I had the skill.
