Default Togmie 2 - you know you want to!

There's a slight incline on your left after you turn right out of the pub IIRC.

Less than 8 weeks to go everyone.

If you plan to come please add your name to the attendance thread I have just set up here http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.p...17#post2966817 so I know how many cakes to bake.

Just a reminder of the arrangements for the weekend.

Arrive Friday afternoon at the Huntsman and Hounds Pub and Campsite, Green Lane, Althorne, CM3 6BJ.

http://www.huntsmanandhounds.co.uk/

Camping is £5 per tent per night, a bit more if you want to bring a camper and have an electrical hook up, please call James at the pub to reserve one. There are 2 basic showers on site free of charge and toilets and sinks.

There is also a motel under a mile away.

http://www.crouchvalley.com/BOC/serv...h_valley_hotel

Please fill up with petrol on Friday night.

Nearest petrol station you will pass on your way in is Texaco at Althorne Village, 14 The Street, South Woodham, CM3 6JP and before that you will also pass a Tesco Metro in Danbury at 68 Maldon Road CM3 4QW. Both are good places to stock up on drinks and snacks.

On Friday night you can eat in the pub or there will be a run in the car to the local fish and chip shop.

Saturday morning we set off around 10ish and first stop will be a Tesco for a quick coffee and a chance to grab a donut/sandwich for breakfast as we don’t have breakfast on site.
Leg 2 takes us up to Saffron Walden where we head to a pub for lunch at The Gate Inn. They offer a ciabatta and pizza menu (don’t be put off by the more expensive dinner menu shown on their website). If you really don’t want to pay pub prices then there is a Waitrose and park in the town centre.

Leg 3 takes us to Maldon where we stop at Promenade Park, Park Dr, Maldon, Essex, CM9 5JQ for tea and ice cream and a go on the galleon but I’m afraid not enough time to strip off and run around in the splash park.

We end up back at the campsite late afternoon and place our orders for dinner at the pub when we get back so they have time to get it all ready for us for the evening. Someone may also do another chip run.

Weather permitting we’ll set up the fire bowl in the campsite after dinner both nights. A contribution towards the cost of logs is optional but appreciated as we need to these from the garage.

On Sunday we sometimes take a run down to Southend or into Burnham on Crouch to the Quayside depending on weather and how fragile we are feeling.

Any questions please PM me and I shall post up answers.

All bikes welcome, we'll be led by a 1200gs and TEC'd by a 650gs so anything in between the Beemers is fine by us. You can even come in the car just for the giggles if you don't fancy riding, several have done in the past and just met us at lunchtime en route.

Ooooo, nice

Has that road out towards Tiptree been sorted out yet? Was a nice bendy road last time I rode down that way but was broken up very badly....
