Default Renntec Sports Rack

I am thinking about getting a Renntec Sports Rack, but before I part with my 'hard earned' would be interested in hearing what sort of feedback there is on them.

Are they easy to fit?

Do they look that bad?

How practical are they?

Any other comments welcome.

Yep, easy to fit, just remove the grabrail (two bolts) and replace with the rack

They look ok

As long as you don't want to carry heavy loads they're fine, renntec reccomend a max of 5kg

I have a second hand one if you're interested

They don't look too awful... remind me and I'll put mine on next time we're both going to be at the same rideout, let you have a look. Very practical, I've had all manner of stuff on mine.

I have just got one too.
Looks very neat and tidy. Although it's ****ing down with rain today and I haven't had a chance to fit it to the bike. I am hoping to use it to hold tent and bedding for BMF tail end show next weekend, and it looks ideal.

Holy resurrected thread Batman!

Since this one started, I've put the rack to a bit more of a test:

I doubt it'd support that much weight (they're actually resting on the rear seat, not the rack) but there's no way you could cary those safely without some sort of rack I think, with the Renntec it wasn't just safe, it was easy.

Have any of you used the top case available from Renntec along with the sport rack? It looks nice on the website but at that price I wonder if it's cheap or flimsy. Hard cases are usually kind of pricey. Thanks!

Awesome.. an 8yr old thread.

Don't know about the Renntec boxes but the Givi boxes are good.

You get what you pay for.

Hi, do you know if he still has the topbox and what rack would it require to be fitted to a 2001 K1 sv650?
Thanks
