Default Sv650 K1 front brake switch wiring

Hi
I have just bought an sv650 ex race bike that I'm putting back on the road..does the main wiring loom have a sub loom that attaches to the front brake lever switch?..or are the front brake switch blade connectors on the main loom?....

Thank you simon

your switchgear should connect to the main loom then there is a connector on the switchgear to connect to the brake light switch. same goes for the clutch switch.

no. the main loom at the headstock end has or should have connectors that connect to the handlebar switchgear. the handlebar switchgear then has wires coming from it to plug the brake switch into. without the switchgear you cant plug the brake switch in.

if the bike has had a race loom fitted you will need to buy a new loom for the bike.

its not a sub loom its the handlebar switchgear the 'loom' for them comes with the switchgear.

if the switchgear are on the bike then its had the brake switch wires cut off.

yes there is also a headlight sub loom and these are different depending on if the bike was a sport or naked.
