Datatool system 3 PIN?

Ive been trying to programme the pin code as the instructions but it wont
accept any code, any ideas or do I need to disconnect for 6 hours after
altering the pins?

1 - Disarm the alarm
2 - REMOVE THE IN LINE FUSE
3 - Ignition on
4 - Enter service mode
5 - Replace in line fuse
6 - Ignition off (Wait for confirmation beep)
7 - Press both button simutaneously (confirmation beeps)

You now have 3 minutes to enter a new pin.

For example if you want your pin to be 1234
1 - Set digit 1, ignition on, wait for for one beep, ignition off
2 - Ignition on press, wait for 2 beeps, ignition off
3 - Ignition on, wait for 3 beeps, ignition off
4 - Ignition on, wait for 4 beeps, ignition off

You should now get a long tone, you now need to repeat the procedure to confirm the pin.
If you are correct on your installation you'll hear 2 long tones, if you've failed you'll hear 3 short beeps.

If you balls up at anytime, don't panic, disarm the alarm.
If the ignition is left OFF for more than 3 minutes the alarm will go back to service mode.
If the ignition is left ON for more than 10 seconds it will revert back to service mode.

Nah, I think your right cuffy

I read it as the alarm is a system 3, rarther than a 3 pin code

Hi, it is a System 3 alarm and that’s virtually the way I have tried to program (twin button press near the start) I keep getting the 3 beep fail for some reason

Just a thought... are you using 0 in your pin code, if so it wont except it and give you the short 3 beeps as incorrect

No...just been on to Datatool any existing pin code needs to be erased first, they wont tell me the procedure and say its information only shared with dealers. He said the dealer will need access to the alarm itself which means pulling it to bits while Im there. Googlin hasnt brought it up, anyone any ideas?

Unless you REALLY need this alarm, I'd bin the lot and do without! I had one of these and it was forever leaving me stranded. Nobody could sort it out for me including various 'dealers' and an visiting technician who charged me £80 just for a callout!

Im tempted to pull it off but it would be nice to use it if possible and it can be trusted..they are a rediculous price to buy..

as far as i know there is no 3 pin codes, its a 4 pin code for the S3

use the procedure in the datatool manual and its possable that the code has never been set so it will still be 0000
