Default Puncture repair kit, top tip

Used a puncture repair kit today for the first time because if this!

Managed to get back on the road with one of those repair kits.

However even after using all 3 of the gas canisters that came with it there was still only 12psi in the rear.

Top tip. Carry about 10 canisters!

That must be small canisters.
You can get bigger ones of amazon. Two Wil get you started with 20 psi

They aren't designed to get you back up to pressure, merely to put some air so you can ride to the next garage.

The real trick is to carry two of the applicator tools. Once you have done cleaning out and roughing up the hole you leave the applicator in there whilst you put the bung on the other one, get it all glued up and then whip one out and replace immediately with the other thus losing very little air to start with. This is of course assuming you have spotted (or heard) the screw nice and early rather than after the tyre is flat!

What make is the kit. I tried using the tip top kit and found it a bit of a faf.
The sticky string ones a lot easier to use.

I like the BMW doughnut ones, but there is a certain trick to getting them to work first time. I was shown how to do it with a London dispatch rider who thought nothing of having several in each tyre! Providing they've gone in right I don't even bother getting the tyre repaired.

Got it on ebay years ago. It's branded Gear Gremlin.

Just out of curiosity I had a search on the bay and found a small foot pump especially for motorcycle.
If you are serious about getting it up to pressure you can find a few different styles
Like theLezyne Micro Floor Drive Mini Pump.it's like a mini track pump

On the subject of puncture repair kits has anyone got a recommendation for a diddly analog pressure gauge to slip in my puncture repair kit?
