Seek professional Advise from a tyre place or PM spannerman, As it might be safe to repair with a mushroom BUT your top speed will be reduced...

BETTER TO GET A NEW TYRE TBH...

I've plugged several tires and ridden tens of thousands of miles on a plugged tires

stick a regular rope type plug it, cut off excess, pressurze tire to what you ride it at, and ride away

first few days, check pressure to assure you got a good seal, and if theres no problems faget about it ride like nomal

I have never ever heard of a casostrophic failure of a tire due to a plug, only doomsayer's what if stories, tire plugs are not made out of C4

if the plug does fail, your tires will go soft, wou will notice funny handling like any other flat tire from a road hazard, and you will stop and make repairs, what's the big deal, don't panic

What evidence have you to support this Richie? My last 020 that i had, had the maximum of 3 plugs and still done my average wear and never stopped me from doing high motorway speeds.

If its plugged properly(mushroom repair) then there is no need to buy a new tyre.
