Zig, is the bowmore 18 the mariner or the otherone (think it begins with an I) The new balvenie goldencask (finished in rum barrels) is beautiful, nicer than the 21 oak wood imho.

I had bowmore 18 at my mates last night, very nice, even when drank from a plastic beaker

Would that be Yamazaki 10yr old?

I'm not really a whisky drinker i prefer a good cup of Typhoo, however from memory i currently have on the go:

Aberlour
Jura
Jura Superstition
Tomintoul
Glenfiddich
Glenfiddich solera
Glenfiddich Oak Roast
Balvenie
Balvenie doublewood
Cardhu
Glenmorangie Rum Cask
Old Pultney
Scapa
Strathisla
Talisker
Glenlivet
& a couple of small Bowmores

I think.

I say--I say, a bit ungentlemanly to besmirch our good friend in that manner
We all know that Foey is an ardent connoisseur of malt whisky and goes out of his way to collect the best and finest
Its just that he has a preference to carry it home internally rather than externally in the bottle not that we encourage him in this practice, but we have been known to assist

A man of taste... Pretty much the only one I drink, there's better but anything I like more is a lot pricier. It's a good balance.

(and a wee guilty admission but I love Jamesons Irish, no it's not a single malt but it's close enough and it's lovely. Just don't mingle it with newcastle brown or it's possible the hangover will actually kill you)

Mr DT, one does not parteey with single malt, one appreciates it, as you know there are numerous blends for the use of parteeying, Grouse, Bailie Nicol Jarvie (BNJ to its friends), Shyte (i kid you not) http://www.royalmilewhiskies.com/pro...=0010000008425, or even Tesco's own, however if you wish to call round i will gladly put a selection of single malts on the table for you enjoyment & appreciation.

I am deeply hurt sir by your comment, it was not my fault but the fault of a foreign gentleman named Michael, although i do seem to remember a certain DT almost falling backwards through the Youth Hostel doors so it must of been a fairly good evening, although you were no slouch either if memory serves, just a shame KG couldn't have been with us too.

First and foremost Bruichladdich, various guises. Currently have a 15 yr old commerative bottle, not being opened.

Balvenie Double wood finish....... mmmmmmm

Knockandoo, Old Pultenie

I have a 21yr old Old Cask Balmenach, bought as a gift, so so so unfair. I want to open it, i can't open it, pleasure pain indecision but mostly just torment.

Bowmore I quite like too.

not a huge fan of the heavy peaty Skye and Islay "usual suspects" but can sufferthem gladly.

As and when new ones are tried and bought, I'll add to list.

Cheers
