Default batteries...

Hi guys,

long time no speak! Hope you're all well!

You see my problem is this: i need a new battery for my 2002 R6 and yamaha want £90 - i however am loathed to spend said amount so would be forever endebted to the helpful soul that can point me in the direction of a retailer worthy of my hard-earned cash... (preferably less than £40!!!)

Thanks in advance!

Ben

I was reading a Ride's "fix your bike" feature that it's really wise to buy the more expensive replacement batteries, as they tend to last 2-3 times as long as the cheaper unofficial replacement ones.

That said, I've not needed to change a battery yet (aside from the one in my car and that lasted 4/5 years ), so can't speak from experience.

Isn't the problem, with the R6, that it uses a unique battery - specific to fitting the R6. Because it doesn't fit any other bike, the costs are high.

This is something I've been told about slightly older R6's.
